About offshore wind farms Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3. The further information meeting for Ustka residents

The Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 offshore wind farms are investments that are an important part of Poland's energy transformation. Equinor and Polenergia, which are implementing the construction of the offshore farms, invite the local community to an informational meeting, during which it will be possible to learn more about current activities in the Baltic Sea, the work timetable and the implementation of the connecting infrastructure. The event will take place on March 6 at the Ustka City Hall, 3 Wyszyńskiego St., from 17:00 to 19:00.

Equinor and Polenergia are jointly developing the offshore wind farm projects Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 in the Baltic Sea, which will be 37 km and 22 km from the shoreline. An onshore service base, responsible for the safe operation of the farms throughout their lifetime, will be built in Łeba, while transmission infrastructure for the green power plants is planned in the Ustka area.

Both companies are keen on transparent communication with the local community, which is why they meet with residents every quarter. During these events, Equinor and Polenergia representatives report on the progress of the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 projects, answer questions, clarify concerns, and accept feedback and comments on the projects. Thanks to the regular meetings, Pomeranian residents have constant access to information on the timetable and progress of the offshore wind farms and the opportunity for direct dialogue with the investors.

The upcoming meeting will be held on March 6, from 17:00 to 19:00 at the City Hall in Ustka, at 3 Wyszyńskiego Street, in room 101. No advance registration is required.

The Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 projects will provide clean, renewable energy to more than 2 million households, significantly contributing to Poland's energy security. With a combined generating capacity of up to 1440 MW, they will reduce carbon emissions and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. This is an important part of the energy transition that supports Poland's climate goals and the development of renewable energy sources. In addition, the projects will contribute to the local economy through job creation and the participation of domestic companies in the supply chain. The first energy from the wind farms is expected to flow into the electricity grid as early as 2027, with commercial deployment scheduled for 2028.
