Offshore wind farms under construction. Equinor and Polenergia announce another information meeting in Ustka
Construction of onshore infrastructure for the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 offshore wind farms is at a very advanced stage. This is the right time to engage with the local community and share updates on project progress. Equinor and Polenergia invite residents to an informational meeting in Ustka in September, during which company representatives will discuss current activities in the region and outline plans for the next stages of the investment. These quarterly meetings reflect the companies’ commitment to open and transparent communication between investors and local communities. The next meeting will take place on September 23, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the Municipal Office in Ustka, ul. Dunina 24.
Equinor and Polenergia emphasize that continuous dialogue with the local community is a priority for the Joint Venture. Regular meetings provide a platform to exchange information, ask questions, and address concerns. Through direct contact with the investors, Pomerania residents have continuous access to up-to-date information on projects progress, bringing Poland closer each week to producing green energy from offshore wind farms .
Currently, construction of onshore infrastructure for the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 projects is underway. Cable routes are being built near Duninowo and Pęplino, and horizontal directional drilling (HDD) is being carried out near Lędowo at the landfall site, where the cables come ashore. Significant progress is also visible in the construction of the ONS substation in Pęplino and the O&M base in Łeba.
During the upcoming meeting, representatives of Equinor and Polenergia will discuss the progress of onshore construction work, the project schedule, and the benefits and changes that the investments will bring to the region. They will also present updates on the transmission infrastructure being developed in the Ustka area, as well as the opportunities offered by the O&M base in Łeba.
The Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 projects are expected to supply clean, renewable energy to more than 2 million households. They will contribute to Poland’s energy transition, drive local economic growth through job creation, and increase the participation of Polish companies in project delivery. The first power from the Bałtyk offshore wind farms is scheduled to enter the grid in 2027, with commercial operations starting in 2028.
We invite you to the upcoming information meeting in Ustka. No registration is required to attend.
