Application for environmental decision for the offshore wind farm Baltic I submitted

After completion of the necessary research and analysis as well as the required documentation, the joint venture developing the offshore wind farm MFW Bałtyk I has submitted an application for issuing the environmental decision to the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection in Gdańsk.

The commencement of the procedure associated with obtaining the required decisions on environmental conditions is a milestone in the implementation of the largest joint project of Equinor and Polenergia in the Baltic Sea with a capacity of up to 1560 MW. The submission of the application for the MFW Bałtyk I was possible after conducting over one year's research and comprehensive pre-investment marine environmental research programme. Along with the application the Project Information Card and other attachments required by law at the stage of determining the scope of the environmental impact report were submitted.
