Equinor and Polenergia at the celebration of the Łeba Festival - with positive energy about the Bałtyk projects
Residents of Łeba and tourists from all over Poland visited the stand of Equinor and Polenergia in large numbers during the Łeba Festival – an event commemorating the 668th anniversary of granting city rights to Łeba. Representatives of companies building offshore wind farms Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 once again participated in an important day for the city and invited to joint activities, workshops and conversations on obtaining energy from the forces of nature.
This year's Łeba Festival, as every year combined with the Łeba Festival of Fish and Regional Products, took place on the weekend, July 12-13, 2025. Although the rainy weather did not spoil, the stand of Equinor and Polenergia continued to attract numerous interested guests. Thanks to the involvement of company representatives and the good energy of visitors, a space was created for valuable conversations, creative fun and joint exploration what offshore wind farms are and what they mean for the region is.
– Once again, we had the pleasure to participate in the Łeba Festival – an event that is of special importance to both the residents and us. Our presence here is not only a continuation of our involvement in the life of the local community, but also a natural element of the long-term investments we carry out in the region. A modern service base for the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 projects is being built in the port of Łeba, and in the heart of the city there is an Information Centre on Bałtyk offshore wind farms, to which we invite you all year round, – says Andrzej Popadiuk, Stakeholder Manager, Equinor Polska.
The space of the event, stretching along Kościuszki Street, thanks to stage performances and concerts, has turned into a place full of positive energy, creative fun and a family atmosphere. During the July weekend in Łeba, thousands of visitors appeared at the stand of the Bałtyk projects. The meetings were full of creativity and inspiring conversations about renewable energy sources and offshore wind energy. Visitors were eager to participate in activities organized by the companies – from workshops on painting bags and building ship models from ecological materials, to an unusual challenge for lovers of physical activity – squeezing healthy juices on a cocktail-bike powered by the power of their own muscles. Children and adults could also test their knowledge in a competition with prizes. These were two days full of interesting conversations, great fun and creative experiences.

– Every year, more and more people visit our stand in Łeba. This shows the growing interest in offshore wind energy and the direction in which Łeba and the Polish energy sector are heading. That is why it is so important for us to meet with residents and tourists, where we can share knowledge and show how investments in green wind energy translate into real benefits and changes – says Marta Porzuczek, Director of the Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development Department, Polenergia Group.
Equinor and Polenergia are jointly developing three offshore wind farm projects in the Baltic Sea with a total capacity of up to 3 GW. The installations located at the height of Łeba and Ustka will be able to supply over 4 million households with clean, renewable energy. A modern service base is being built in the port of Łeba to handle the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 projects, which is scheduled to open in 2026. The facility will provide several dozen jobs for qualified specialists.
