Crown Prince Haakon of Norway visits Poland. In Gdańsk, he got acquainted with the Baltic offshore wind farm projects implemented by Equinor and Polenergia

On April 22, 2025, Prince Haakon, the heir to the throne of Norway and representatives of the Government of Norway led by Secretary of State Ranghild Sjoner Syrstad and Norwegian Ambassador to Poland Øystein Bø, visited the exhibition "The Baltic. A sea of green energy".

The exhibition devoted to the development of offshore wind energy in the Baltic Sea was created on the initiative of Equinor and Polenergia, which jointly implement the Bałtyk 2 and 3 offshore wind farm projects and prepare the Baltic 1 project. The meeting was held in the presence of representatives of Equinor and the management of the National Maritime Museum. The event was part of Prince Haakon's three-day visit to Poland, devoted to Polish-Norwegian cooperation in the energy and defense sectors.

During the talks, the role of Norwegian experience and Equinor's involvement in the Polish energy transition was emphasized. Thanks to the knowledge and technologies that Norway and Equinor bring, Poland has a chance to become a leader in wind energy in the Baltic Sea, and Polish companies can be included in the global supply chain of the offshore sector.

Prince Haakon's meeting with Equinor representatives in Poland confirms the close economic relations between Poland and Norway. It was part of Prince Haakon's visit to Poland devoted to cooperation in the energy and defense sectors.
