Safety on the construction site
Due to ongoing work, please exercise extra caution in the vicinity of construction sites and pay attention to signage.
JULY 2025
We are starting pilot drillings at the landfall. Intensive construction works are ongoing at the ONS stations, including the continued installation of foundations and prefabricated structures, steel building frameworks, and the implementation of systems such as grounding and drainage. We are continuing to build foundations and prefabricated structures, steel building structures, install grounding and drainage systems, among other things. Construction of the service base in Łeba is also underway.
JUNE 2025
We have completed work on further sections of the cable route and are preparing to lay the next sections on the 220 kV and 400 kV lines. Four HDPE pipes, each 1.5 km long and weighting over 200 tons each, have been delivered by sea, they will protect the export cable where it comes ashore.
MAY 2025
On the seabed of the Baltic Sea, we began activities related to relocating boulders from the transmission cable route. With the use of special equipment, the boulders were moved to designated areas on the seabed, preparing the site for further works.
APRIL 2025
We have completed the laying of two sections of cable on the 400 kV line. At the same time, we began drilling for the 220 kV line, using trenchless HDD technology under the beach and dunes to protect recreational areas and valuable dune formations. At sea, we conducted further UXO surveys, including the inspection of hazardous objects on the seabed.
MARCH 2025
We began underground drilling in the landfall area – the point where the subsea cable connects to land. At the same time, at the ONS stations in Pęplino, we started constructing the foundations for the equipment that will receive the energy generated by offshore wind farms.
FEBRUARY 2025
We have launched the construction of a service base in Łeba. At the same time, on the cable route between Pęplino and Lędowo, we have commenced earthworks, the construction of service roads, and the first assembly works. Preparatory works have also begun in the landfall area near Lędowo.
JANUARY 2025
We have commenced preparatory work for two onshore substations (ONS) in Pęplino in the municipality of Ustka. This stage involved land development and preparation, which included access infrastructure and a stormwater drainage system. The first delivery of 220 kV and 400 kV onshore cables has arrived at the construction site.
