Creating a supply chain for the Baltic 1 project

PWEA conference is just around the corner – Equinor and Polenergia invite you to a panel devoted to the supply chain for the Baltic 1 project

We are pleased to announce that we will take part in the PWEA 2025 conference in Świnoujście. The topic of our panel will be one of the key challenges of the energy transition in Poland – building an effective and sustainable supply chain for the Baltic 1 project.

The Baltic 1 project is not only an ambitious infrastructure project, but also a great opportunity to create a modern and sustainable value chain that will involve Polish suppliers, local communities and innovative technologies.

Thanks to many months of preparation and analysis of the supply chain plan and the conclusions drawn from the Baltic 2 and Baltic 3 projects, we have an ambitious plan to meet the goal indicated in the Sectoral Agreement and achieve a high level of local content in the Baltic 1 project.

During the panel, we will share our approach to:

• Locations for the production of key components, i.e. what are the logistical and technological challenges in offshore projects
• Building long-term relationships with partners, i.e. how we build a local supply chain with the participation of Polish companies and experts
• Integration of ESG standards throughout the process, i.e. how we integrate ESG standards throughout the project implementation cycle
• Challenges related to the development of the offshore wind market in Poland, or why long-term partnerships with suppliers are crucial for success

Bałtyk 1 is the most advanced and largest of the offshore wind energy projects being prepared for auction in 2025. Its implementation is not only a significant step towards independence from fossil fuels, but also a great opportunity for the development of Polish industry, local suppliers and competences in the RES sector.

We believe that a strong and well-coordinated supply chain is the foundation for the development of the offshore wind sector in Poland. That is why we invite all conference participants to participate in our session and to talk with us.
